In celebration of the Dayton Art Institute's 90th Anniversary, the museum is identifying HIDDEN TREASURES, works that have either not been on display for years, or are new to the collections for display in it's upcoming
HELLO WORLD! Rarely Seen Art from Our Collection. The show’s hidden treasures include figures, portraits, still life, decorative arts, landscapes and more from many different cultures, spanning 2,000 years.
As part of HELLO WORLD! The Dayton Art Institute will celebrate one of its greatest treasures -it's visitors. Over the past several months Dayton artists Tess Cortes of Wright State University and Mary Anne Kirk of ThinkTV have been collecting stories and memories of the DAI from members of the community for inclusion in a multi-media video installation which will be on view during the HELLO WORLD exhibition.
